Pride, instant gratification maybe taking the easy way out. But what I have gained is simply priceless❤️

He's given up quite a bit, which I appreciate. He was a heavy smoker when we started dating, and when I developed a chronic cough and asked him to stop smoking around me, he complied. Unfortunately, the cough has gotten worse over the last (almost) two years, so he's had to make even more changes to avoid setting off a coughing fit: not smoking cigarettes at all while we're together, showering/changing clothes before seeing me, even taking his dad's (non-smoke-smelling) car if we carpool.

I don't think it's anything we've "given up". Rather, what's supposed to be just happens :)

Nothing that I know of

Honestly? I don't know if we've given up anything. If something doesn't work we don't have a desire to do it.

I don't want to answer that now. We are in that process.

We haven't given up anything in fact we have gained new things and experiences by being together

I don't know if I would say given up. I feel like my plans changed for him but I wanted them to so I didn't have to give anything up. I am right where I want to be in life: with him.
