We'd been talking about his mother's opinion of my alternative appearance. She wanted me to take out my piercings, and color my hair a natural color. I looked at him and asked him if that would make him happy, what he'd do if I took out all my body jewelry, re-colored my hair, wore pink, skirts, heels, and styled my hair normally. He looked me in the eyes and said "I'd tell you to go put your Tripp pants back on." I don't think he even knew how beautiful that was to hear. How accepted I felt.

She always compliments me. It feels nice to be liked for the way you are. I should give her much more extraordinary compliments but I am not the kind of man to often give compliments. So I try to say nice things when I get to. She deserves them and she likes being reassured. But I usually say "I love you" because every time I am proud or I find her pretty or anything, it reminds me how lucky I am to have found her and I get a burst of love for her.
