Friends. My love and I use our friendship as a base and everything else falls into place. You have to be best friends though. Just being everyday friends isn't enough

hm.. I think they should be both. They should be friends at time and have fun with each other, trust each other and lovers too. Be loving with affectionate as well. Both of 'em are important for a couple.
Friends. Friends can have fun and act silly. Friends can really get to know each other for who the other really is. Friends can nurse the other back to health when sick. Lovers is important for an intimacy and passion aspect, but friends is more and important for almost everything else.
Both, have fun and laugh like friends but be affectionate towards each other like lovers
Friends before lovers
We were friends for about the first year before started actually dating, really got to know each other. Think it lead to a better relationship because we're best friends now and even better lovers!
