I dont have any family member with me and i used to have fun with my boyfriend's family...
We decorate the house and have family over
My family is hard to get together and be functional and rarely get together.
I don't have a favorite holiday because there is always an asshole or a group of assholes that ruin it for everyone. We usually celebrate by getting together under one roof.

Eat with family
We all love Christmas. Great time to get together at my mamaws house, open up gifts, eat a delicious meal, and just spend some time together. Great time where there isn't much conflict. I love it. This is how we ALL celebrate. It's just our family tradition.

I don't have a favourite "holiday". A holiday however is my favourite thing and I love to discover new things, just do exactly as I please and answer to no one! Family wise, there is definitely a focus on Christmas as an opportunity for us all to aim to get together on that one occasion in the year, eat, laugh etc. It is just the right time frame to avoid conflict!
I think I suck in a way, because I do not get overly excited about holidays: never have, really. Not even Christmas. I guess it's because it was always very routine and my family is so "subdued" in that nothing was ever really exciting. My family did things, but sort of went through the motions, and it was ALWAYS just the five of us, but again, subdued with little enthusiasm for things. No challenge or expressed excitment. Maybe if/when I have a family of my own it will be different. I think I want to make things more excitement for holidays when I am fully on my own, and with my partner (Boo) so we can make things exciting in a way that was not there during holidays when growing up.

Halloween: We decorate like mad men (or really I do..) and dress up in true day of the dead fashion!
Christmas is my favorite holiday. Every year my family would get together for Thanksgiving and we would pull names out of a hat to do the Secret Santa we would pick 1 of 3 relatives house to have dinner at Christmas day and exchange gifts. The year before my grandfather passed he got sick just before the holidays and we haven't done a Christmas like that since. I've hosted dinner at my house once or twice but it wasn't the same. Now its whatever hubby wants to do
We have tacos for Christmas. And as a family we are starting a new Christmas eve tradition this year. I am excited.
My family ily doesn't celebrate much together. My wife's family is awesome. They all get together for every holiday. It's a lot of fun. I really enjoy being a part of it. Never really had that growing up.
We really get into decorating, we do all the traditional things, carve pumpkins, go to haunted houses, and we always look forward to dressing up
We dont celebrate any really.. That's boring but when I get married to my hubby I want to celebrate every special holiday memory or anything we love.. Like birthdays, cristmas, Easter etc
with family and friends and your my prtner.
