Would you rather grow old with someone you "settled" for, or be alone when you are older because you didn't find true love?

I disagree with settling, even just in the dating stages, so if I had to choose between those two options, I'd rather be alone.

Never settle and never give up looking for that special someone out there that will let your soul rest:)

I love love but i never want to feel like I settled but I think when you get old you may like just having someone to share your life with even if you settle. Young people marry for love but older people marry for other reasons not just love

Don't settle for either. Keep the faith and keep on looking.

I would rather be alone, because I don't want to settle, however my biggest fear is that my partner would be settling with me. I don't want to end up in a loveless marriage

I don't have to worry about that ;)

I would never settle. I'd rather be alone than be with the wrong person. I'm grateful I found my guy. :)

Be alone.

I'd rather be alone; but now I know I won't! :3 I'm with the perfect man!

Neither

Grow old with someone who wasn't 100% perfect... No one is perfect...

I'm growing old with the woman i love.

Be alone when I was older. But what's amazing is I found my true love and don't need to be alone. I am thankful everyday for her. I love her more than words can describe.

Settling isn't always bad it means you accept someone for all they are. Life is work regardless wouldn't you like someone to face it with you?

If I was old and dying, I'd settle. I can learn to love someone, anyone can.now being young, I wouldn't want to settle for anything less than what I have with you. Alone is better than someone abusive, manipulative, or controlling. But if the person was decent enough and we could learn to love each other ("love" is a verb) ,I would settle. "would you rather be lonely and old or old and enjoying the company of another- even tho its not passionate, romantic love?" I'd prefer the latter.
