My dad gives my mom the silent treatment, which has happened with us, but i really feel like weve been slowly moving away from that lately and i feel like were more likely to talk out whatever were going thru now, which is SUCH a huge step for us

I get mad about the little un-important things he says or does...which gets kind of annoying

They hold hands. I LOVE when my partner holds my hand :)

My father was good at giving my ma lil gifts - i think i do that. My ma was good at not letting my father get to her if he was in a bad mood - i wanna learn that. Idk, Ive never thought of it before because they really weren't right for each other. At all.

I don't go through all the banter, there is a way to talk it out

My husband opens the car door for me just like my dad always does for my mom

pray and communicate

Ummmm

We always try to work on our problems and don't believe in giving up or divorce

bad: too passive and taking relationship for granted; no dedicated time or acknowledgement of the romance to keep it novel and like "dating".
good: absolute dedication to the integrity of the family
Absolute dedication to the integration of the family?? We don't have family yet.

My parents have never been together. As far as I know, my father is a piece of shit. My mother is great. She was vulnerable. He was a stalker. A liar. A... We won't continue. So I don't know how they were. I just hope I don't so any of that crap.

I'm not sure, but I know that it bothers me how insecure she is in her relationships. It also bothers me that it has taken me so long to trust my joey.

I'm not sure how they were together. I was so young and I don't remember much of my childhood. But I do know my mom is a very loving and caring person. I like to think I get that from her. I don't like seeing people hurt or upset.

Forgive :)
Understand! :)

My dad always always always kissed my mom when he got home from work every day. I make a point to do the same with A. It's a small ritual that feels right. P
super like! I'd wish my hubby did that too!
