Would you rather grow old with someone you "settled" for, or be alone when you are older because you didn't find true love?

I would much rather be alone...

I believe that growing old with someone, and having thier companionship is what true love is.

It's impossible to be happy with someone you've "settled" for. I would have been an eccentric old maid if I hadn't met my perfect guy.

I'd rather be alone!

I'd rather be alone and happy than to have settled for someone who didnt make me happy.

There is no Shangra-La. Everything is settling on some level. You will wait your whole life for perfection, or fool yourself into believign you have it.

I don't believe in "true" love. There is no one true love. But I would rather be alone than unfulfilled/unhappy and feeling trapped which seems to be what this question is asking.

I would rather settle.

Grow old with someone

Single doesn't mean alone... I choose to be happy.

Not applicable, but I'd rather be alone.

I'd rather be alone, then with someone I settled for. Life is too short to settle and not get the most out of it.

I'd rather enjoy my twilight years alone if I had not found true love

Alone and happy. Rather then be with someone that didn't make me happy
