Martin Luther King Jr. Do I need to explain further?

Mahatma Gandhi. His philosophy of nonviolence and self-rule really resonates with me.

Leon Panetta, because he has worked hard to better our local community and the US his whole life, and he is honorable. He does what's right because it's right, not because it helps him look good. And because he just opened the gates for gays to openly serve in the military.

I really don't like politics, at least the system in the United States. I don't feel the people in those positions are ever genuinely there for the people as a whole, only their "parties".

Not Obama that's for damn sure

Ron Paul. Seems very genuine, and advocates responsibility.

none of the out there, living or dead

Probably nobody. Answering this question so it doesn't show up anymore.

Rick Perry because regardless of what others think, he does what he feels is right.

No, not politics...

Obama. He is extremely articulate and personable. He is the first black president.

Mahatma Gandhi. His nonviolent methods overcame the might of the British Empire, inspired the world and gave birth to a nation.

Not many, most of them lie

Harry Truman. He was honest and not looking for fame.

Prior to the 20th century, Lincoln. He was faced with some extraordinary challenges & he kept people around him who would argue with him and challenge him.

20th century, FDR and Johnson both knew how to get things done in Congress.

And I admire the current President of the United States. USA is polarized, in the middle of wars, & a recession prior to his Presidency. It takes a lot to get up, stay very calm, and try to compromise every day to get things done in Washington.
