I ended up bringing a baby along to our trip to Germany - finding out only by a pregnancy test that thankfully had English instructions. Überraschung!

Hard to say...presents and surprises can be interchanged, I suppose. Every year there is at least one unexpected surprise for Christmas. I can't think of which is best though.

when I gave her a car for Christmas, totally surprised! the look on her face was priceless
Nothing! Every time I try to surprise him it gets completely messed up somehow. I tried flying out early to see him for his birthday in December- and what happened AFTER I purchased everything (hotel/flight) the military sent him to the field for his birthday and ruined everything! Lol
At least you tried and he should or will know that. Good job!
