I don't think love should be a one way street if you love and not feel that you are being loved back is very hurtful thing

to love is the ultimate gift a person can give to another, by definition, being loved back is not required (but wonderful)

It's better to love than be loved--but better still to love AND be loved! Duh!

Yes.

Allebei als je geen liefde geeft ontvang je ook niet

Loved

It's better to love because you have to love to be loved ;)

To love.
When you love, it changes you.
Just bc I am loved doesn't mean I know I'm loved. The lady in the next cubicle may love me and I don't even know it.
It may be risky to love someone, but, it's worth the risk when it's returned.

They're necessarily mutual and wonderful, meaning of life
Agreed

To be loved. Because you can love a lot of people but they may not love you the way you do

Both. It is sad to love and not be loved back and vice versa.

be loved, *blush* "The only thing i learned from love, is how to shoot at someone who out drew you" To be loved gives you more control, compared to loving which makes you helpless

Love!!! Because u get so much pleasure in seeing how you're making the other person feel

I think it's universally equal. I think people need to give love freely to other people, to make life more beautiful to others. And I think people need to be loved to understand just why it is so beautiful.

Obviously both are best but since its a choice between the two I'm going to go with "To Love". You can't receive what you don't have within yourself to give nor can you control anyone else's feelings. To love without expecting love in return is unconditional love. It's a higher part of who we are and can be as spiritual beings and I think to give without expecting return is one of the most beautiful characteristics we can have.
