Mom was affectionate, dad an physical abuser

My parents were. My mom was probably more so than my father, but as we grew older, he became more affectionate as well.

Military upbringing I guess!? But it works!

Not so much..although we were given the guilt trip if we didn't give our elders a hug and kiss hello and goodbye.

Nope dysfunctional is more like it

Yes my mother was, But she was strict with a huge heart!

My mom yes Very much. My pops on the other hand was not when I was younger but he has gotten a lot better over the like 8 years.

My mom was alway affectionate, my dad.. Not so much. That's always been a weakness of his. He was more strict and yelled a lot. Hugs and "I love you" was far and few between.

No

Yes a lot my husband found it strange at first as his family rarely show affection to each other which I find strange
