It's expected around family and friends to show some affection, nothing too crazy. I try to be cognizant of where in public because of the old Islamic rumour mill that seems to like my life too much. I wish I didn't care, but I do.
Not very nice. That stuff is private. Not for public.
Ours? Love it! We're never groping or inappropriate, so when the spirit moves, I say go for it!
Others? I really couldn't care less, unless its the "get a room" variety. There IS a line...

Public displays of affection should maintain a certain level of decorum. There is a line between what is acceptable and what is not.
Showing affection in public is acceptable and I enjoy being close. However, doing things in public that should be saved for the bedroom is another thing all together.
There's a line but as long as that isn't crossed its completely fine. We always hold hands and sometimes hug ( like when waiting in a line) or sneak a kiss ( red lights are the best). It doesn't bother me from others of its tasteful.
A hug or two, peck or two, and two hands holding one another suites me.
