Love Jones... Black Love contemporary or otherwise is rarely portrayed, and not portrayed enough. When it is, it's a comedy.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith. We fight a lot.

The happy couple in Ever After. They just work.

I'd say Clarence and Alabama Whorley from True Romance but I would't exactly want to be them. Same I suppose for Mickey and Mallory from Natural Born Killers. So I guess I'll go with Archie and Edith Bunker.

Mr & Mrs Smith, they are the couple that look most like my wife Jennifer and myself . They seem the most likely to fit our lives (either had a clue a both each other life or lifestyle)and cultral differences. The love we make is very explosive and is what most wish they can experience just once in there lives but the word we sometimes say to each other are like the guns, and the knives that you see in the movie. But I like at the end the are able to calmly sat down and work things out.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith. I really like when a couple has witty banter back and forth.

SO MANY!!! I have loved Nottingham Hill, Shall we Dance, Somersby, Pretty Woman, (looking like a lot of Richard Gere/Julia Roberts/Hugh Grant) any couple movie where the man and woman sacrifice and are totally honest with each other about what that person means to them and what they want from the relationship. Ahhhh...heartbeat!! I haven't really read too many books with 'couples' in them. I mostly read business or self-help books! UGh.

A lot of people roll their eyes at this but...Edward and Bella. It isn't about the mainstream vampire phase but it is about their romance. I love the unconditional love that Edward offers Bella and how it's obvious that she is his world. I like for love to be SHOWN to me :)

the couple in Confessions of a Shopoholic...

Emma and Mr. Knightly. They weren't perfect, but they made each other better.

There are so many, for sure. But, lately, I am smitten by Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy from Pride & Prejudice :) I related to Elizabeth so well, her boldly outspoken personality is like my own. Mr. Darcy's shyness clashed with Elizabeth, as opposite attract. However we were all fooled by Mr. Darcy's nonchalant attitude and took it to be crude. The truth came out and the repressed feelings by the two were finally able to come out.  it was amazing.

Her fave movie couple Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. Not sure why though... I like Prince Akeem and Lisa McDowell from Coming To America.
They have the best love stories.
