both!
sometimes a good debate would be necessary.

Usually a debate, but he usually ends up thinking up smarter stuff than I so I then keep the peace.

I like to debate but now with my boyfriend.

Peace. If I've reached my boiling point with something though, it will end up in debate.

I like keeping the peace. He likes debating. Therefore, we have a pretty good balance of both!

peace, though debating for the heck of it is fun

both!

A good debate is good because you get to know how someone really feels but after all the opinions are out keeping the peace is important

I'm a peacekeeper. My goal is to diffuse the anger, not let things get heated.

A good debate that resolves tensions.

Both. I love to talk about things he just doesn't want to fight about, and he will take a position I really can't let go of sometimes. Keeps things interesting.

Keeping the peace. He enjoys a good debate.

for me both are necessary

Both, good banter is fine, but when the water starts to boil I try to keep the peace, but usually fail, my attitude usually gets in the way.

Both.
