I co-owned a UB40 mix tape when I was young but the first CD I purchased myself I think was Matisyahu - King Without a Crown

Van Halen 5150

Reckless by Bryan Adams on vinyl

That I "bought"? Evanescence - Fallen.

Queen, The Game, on cassette.

NSNC xD. Or American Rejects

The first two CDs I remember buying were Green Day's "Dookie" and Weezer's blue album. Both still get a fair dose of rotation to this day.

it was a record and it was one of three possibilities: rocky 3, Michael Jackson thriller, or prince purple rain

Engagement album wich I made myself for him on June 03, 2012

A 45 rpm single of Valerie by The Monkees I bought at a yard sale for a nickle. No idea what the B-side was.

first cd I personally bought was Slipknot's release album.

Heart of Glass...Blondie

Well, if you include stuff my parents bought me before I had my own money to spend, I think the first thing I remember was a Raffi cassette. But the first thing I bought for myself was Maroon 5's Songs About Jane. It was clearly prophetic. :)

I grew up listening to fundie acapella music, but in middle school I bought Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation. The first album that made any lasting impact though was Pink Floyd The Wall: Live in Berlin. Epic.

The first cd I ever got for myself was The Prodigy's Fat of the Land album. I'd had my parents or my brother get things for me before then, but that was the first one I ever really picked out for myself.
