I don't think it's healthy. Sure, it's okay to keep certain things a mystery, but nothing too serious (previous exposure to STD's, for example). I think honesty certainly strengthens a relationship.

For the most part it is not healthy keeping secrets from your partner. I would say a exception to the rule is when you want to surprise him/her; or if the information is irrelevant to your partner (a confidence from a friend/family/coworker) ... otherwise I believe it is healthier for the relationship to share mostly everything.
