We try to do so jointly but we are long distance. He still has two daughters in college and cares for his parents; those are his concerns so I am not involved in those decisions.
She does. But it depends on how stubborn I feel like being
I like to think when it comes to a big decision we'll talk about it discuss what is best for us as a whole.

We try to decide big things together, but it doesn't usually work. He has purchased quite a few large things without asking me or talking with me first. Like his truck. -.-

A big decision should never be made alone because if its that big it affects us both

Big decisions we discuss together. I usually let him decide on the little ones :)
Both of us together, I don't believe either one of us would make any "big" decisions without consulting the other first.
