Getting back together after a 3 year divorce and planning our next (and final) wedding on an island:)
Proposed to her... on the spur of the moment.
Packed up everything I owned, left my apartment, my job & moved close to 200 miles away from my hometown.
I wrote love letters n sent them via the mail. Like 40. I made home made gifts like paintings.

Tell her the truth when everything was on the line.
Fake proposed at a restaurant. Her family was in on it, and everyone in the restaurant thought it was real. I apologized afterwards, but she knows that that fake proposal was a stepping stone for me to break my shyness and do something spontaneous. It will lead to her getting her real proposal one day!
Proposing over the phone, because the one you love is over 600 miles away.
