I could be very important, but both parties have to be equally committed to the belief of.
It's the most important thing in a relationship. Without God there is no relationship for us. It wouldn't work out
Not important in my opinion
It's important both have to be willing to make that step together
I guess it just all depends on the couple :) my parents are 30 years married with no religion and a model of love. I myself am a christian and don't care if my partner is or not as long as his is accepting of my faith. I take the whole " don't preach to me and I won't preach tonu stance" but my partner would never be with someone who didn't share his Christian faith. So I guess it's each to their own :)
I feel that having similar beliefs is what's important. Another reason my hubby and I are so connected....we consider ourselves "Spiritual" and are both very open-minded and have the same ideas about reaching a higher spiritual level. It allows us to relate and bond even more with one another. No judgements...just open minds and progression toward a higher state of being and deeper connection. I'd like to embrace more spirituality.
I do not believe its important as I consider myself spiritual with not set religion. I believe that strength in a relationship is based on communication and trust not religion. I respect the beliefs of my other half though.
I think it's important that you respect each others religious viewpoints even if they aren't the same. Respect and tolerance is key with a lot of things.
Essential! While it is possible to have a committed relationship without religion, the vast majority of relationships are disposable, and use people in the process. Mankind is not supposed to start relationships and break them off repeatedly--the pain of a breakup makes this apparent. The high value and standards for interacting with people that religions espouse make commitments stronger and the relationships within those commitments healthier.
Depends on the couple but in my relationship I would say it's only kind of important.
Important. It gives a common ground for truth, purpose, belief and life

I think it important because when you raise children you will be able to agree on which values to teach them
