Letting my walls down and trusting each other with our insecurities that are a result of the past. Putting trust first and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is hard but satisfying.
Given up smoking so we can live longer and healthier. Hopefully the increase of quality in life transfers to the marriage.
Always doing things my way and not gain to ask someone else about their opinions.
? I don't know if we have given anything up. We just want to do stuff for each other. :)

Maybe extra money. We need to save to spend on gas so we can travel to see each other.
Answer for both would be privacy (our house is tiny)
Our independence(we have custody of our 16 yr old son), sleeping with other people, loneliness
A simpler question would be what HAVEN'T we given up. I wouldn't change anything for the world.

Nothing yet, but we're working on it!
I gave up feeling scared of being hurt. I remember the exact moment that I realized my hurt would be deeper in time if I didn't give this a chance... It was the best chance I ever took. Soon I will marry my best friend, and I trust, believe, and honestly feel that he will never hurt me in any of the ways I had feared. He is a remarkable person and I have been so blessed in so many ways since he entered my life.
