How they make you feel is very important.
It's not 'me' it's 'we'.
Or you're an individual even if you're in a relationship. Hang out with your friends and family, don't choose your partner every time.

Always give eachother a hug and kiss before you leave and when you return home no matter what.

Communication is the key to every relationship. I'm still not very good at it but trying to be better. Oh and when having a problem take a step back and look at the big picture...is it worth a fight, is it really as bad as you think it is. I've used that one alot lately and avoided many disagreements.
Going into a relationship you have to remember you are two different people raised two completely different ways in different places and have lived differed lives. You can't expect the other person to think the way you do or have the same opinions. Respect and appreciate their experiences and learn fom each other and create a life that is shared and make memories together. Make it work.
Love is both happy n sad, so as relationship. If you know how to forgive then you know how to love

The best relationship advice someone has ever given me is that jugde to much by looks make sure their smart because looks go away over time
