Don't base it on feelings. Feelings can always change throughout the day. If there is an issue, take a time out. Look towards God and it will draw both of us closer together.
It's good to be right, but it's better to be married.

You can't have everything you want. It's important to be flexible to let people be who they are. Accept, and forgive.
Respect and be 100% honest with each other and make your partner your best friend
None really.. I'm learning this shit on my own

Different people have different motivations for doing the same thing. Be compassionate and forgive.

Never do or say anything that you wouldnt do or say with your partner by your side. Heard this on the radio about 2 weeks after we started dating and have lived by it. Been together almost 8 years now :)
From my mom:
*Take him to an amusement park and watch how he spends money. Go for the guy who doesn't spend much.
*If he's hungry and you don't yet have dinner planned, fry an onion. It smells like you started, and you can put it in anything.
From my great-grandmother (of an earlier era, but still a good point):
*Buy everything on the best sale you can find and tell him you paid full price. Put the rest away where he doesn't know you have it.
