Both are needed in a well balanced formula in order to have a successful relationship with ample happiness.
Love is a great feeling, and being loved is a great feeling. Neither one is better because love needs to be both ways

Its terrible to love an not be loved in return so it is better to be loved.

I would hate to love someone with all my heart and not be loved back so I'd rather be loved. But I couldn't live without either
Both are needed to make you better at both. If you love, usually (hopefully) the person will love you back, teaching you how to accept love. Once you feel what real love feels like, hopefully you can deposit it back into the relationship account. It's a cycle that continuously grows.
Some days I want to do the loving and some days I want the loving.... We need both
I personally, I would rather be able to love than just be loved.
Kinda selfish, but I would rather be loved. I need that security. I don't want to doubt it.

To be loved. I have loved plenty, but it was better when I knew his love was surrounding me and keeping me safe
