I think it should be small. Maybe not even useful but it should make sense to me. Flowers are not useful at all, yet they make you shine and smile 💐🌷
Usually it's the surprise. Also, there's a fine line between something useful and a bowling ball sometimes.
A big surprise :)
Something useful. I don't like surprises.
I like something useful, but I try to give surprises
A useful surprise is nice.

Both, but I like to give a big suprise
Something useful. I love the stylus you gave me! It has made work easier & gave me the ability to be artistic for you:)
Something useful.
It's a gift so big surprise. I'm practical too often these days.
I'm big into romance so even something small like running a bubble bath and giving me a glass of wine. Or the unexpected growers and chocolate I get when I'm having a bad day.
Both
The best present is the big surprise my husband gave me...a card with beautiful and loving words!! Thank you!!!!
Both are great. I'm a practical person but secretly love fun surprises.
Something useful
Both, but I prefer useful. A big surprise does show that a bit of planning was involved.
