I feel totally the same way. I also don't understand how one can feel close enough to do so after knowing someone for such a short period of time. Maybe it is just me - I need that emotional connection first.

I'd had a "startup one night stand" where either of us "led each other on" that we'd work together on a project. Sometimes people just talk to me so that they can get a quick promotion for whatever project they have--with no intention of really collaborating creatively with me in any way. It makes me feel resentful & makes me guarded about strangers' true intentions. Please don't use me for your gain. It's bad karma and it becomes quickly apparent. Don't lead me on. I wouldn't do that to you.
