Stupid question. Love is a choice, a verb. My wife is my true love because I have spent 15 years learning how to love her.
Never settle...
I'm sure you can learn to love someone. But I don't know.
Unless I can settle for a fancy vibrator, or a man with a chocolate penis that ejaculates money, I'd rather be alone.

Definitely be alone. A marriage relationship is hard enough sometimes trying to meet the challenge of being the best spouse you can be for your mate. I can't imagine how hard it would be to "die to self" for someone you settled for. Thankfully, it's a moot point for me. I get to grow old with the love of my life. I don't have to make this choice for real.
Be alone. I wouldn't want to settle. There is no point in wasting someone's time because you settled and will always have one foot out the door.

If its not true love, then I would rather be alone. Settling for less than what you truly deserve only leads to resentment & hatred.
I dun want to settle but I dun want to be alone when I'm old either. So try to love the one you're with, if it really doesn't work, have the guts to walk away
The latter unless that precludes having kids, because kids a) need to happen and b) make it worth it
