No it isn't healthy. If you truly care for the person, you don't want to hurt them, so you may keep a secret... but holding in secrets will eat at a person with a kind and loving heart, so you should release it. It's healthy to tell the truth. It sets you free, and gives your partner a choice, rather than you making the choice for your partner.

No, even the most mundane and simple secret starts a pattern, and it's a slippery slope down to big secrets that can hurt and destroy a relationship.
