In general no. A secret to plan a good surprise for you partner, yes. Any type of personal communication regarding your partner's hopes, dreams, future plans, intimate details should be shared openly. Confiding in friends is fine as long as it's not INSTEAD of talking to your spouse. Your spouse needs to be the one person you trust the most and share the good, bad and ugly of who you are with first and foremost. That's the definition of an intimate PARTNER.
