When she compliments me for doing something well and respectfully gives her input when I don't.
When he stands up for me and has my back...and when he treats me the same no matter who is around..
When she compliments me or looks at me with sincerity. It doesn't happen too often, so I know when she does it's real.
When she compliments me
When I see him handle the kids with calm after I have lost my patience
When he says he is proud of me. And when we are having a serious conversation that he looks at me straight in the eyes and nods. It makes me feel like he cares enough to acknowledge whatever I am lecturing about.
When he is talking to someone and he mentions that his wife has done something awesome. Or things we are doing or going to do together.
I feel most respected by my husband when he asks me any advise or what's the matter with our son. I feel that if he trust my maternal instincts when he is unsure that's the most respected thing he could do. To be able to trust my judgement over the most precious thing in our lives, that says a lot and means the world to me!!!
I don't know all the time
When he listens to me and doesn't get angry at me.
When he lets me choose paint colors and says.. I'll trust you on this one.
He let's me sleep in a little extra in the morning, and wakes me to a cup of hot coffee :)
Aww - sweet.
