Because we don't have a shared account, that is not really relevant. But we usually discuss together what we want to do and in which activity we want to spend it. However, Jessica is the one in charge of the counts because I hate doing them. I am more the kind to roughly make a budget and see if I have leftover money at the end of the month
We currently have two separate budgets. But hopefully if we are in one household we would do it together. It needs to be a shared team effort.

We are both trying to be much more responsible for money, but I don't think either of us will ever take over finances completely. We are partners in everything, money will be just another one of those.

I think the sensible division would be you in charge of the finances (so I don't forget to pay the bills etc) but I have to approve purchases (so we don't end up spending any money on anything). Perfect.
